The US President and former game show host said in a Truth Social post on Monday that communities who do not support data centers coming to their own back yards will become “backwards and poor.”
Trump described data centers as the driver of prosperity, and the communities that welcome them will benefit from investment, job opportunities, and lower taxes.
If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign.
Polling suggests a lack of support for data centers even among the cult members.
The “B” Team backed up the boss:
Last week, the New York Times reported that Trump’s EPA plans to eliminate a federal requirement that states publicize and solicit public input on applications for air pollution permits for a range of industrial facilities, including new data centers and the power plants needed to run them.
The EPA move could prevent residents from criticizing or even learning about future data centers before permits are approved or construction begins.
