As our fierce Secretary of War is now being dubbed “No Tab Pete” by actual heroes in the Pentagon, investigators from the Pentagon have issued polygraph tests to about 50 people in the Joint Staff over leaks to journalists, including how the incompetent war in Iran has led to a shortage of crucial military munitions.
To clarify, the Daily Beast is reporting that Pete Hegseth’s nickname in the halls of the Pentagon is “No Tab Pete” because while in uniform he had none of the patches such as “Ranger” and “Sapper’ that signify special combat skills. As the great pretender Pete preens and pontificates his push-up power, he is firing decorated senior military leaders right and left.
Pivoting to the latest test of loyalty to Hegseth and Trump, the Pentagon has, as reported by the New York Times, issued polygraph tests to approximately 50 members of the Joint Staff, including military members and civilian support staff, asking if they disclosed classified information to members of the press, and about whether they provided information about diminished U.S. munitions stocks.
The polygraph tests were administered in August after several news outlets reported diminished stocks of crucial munitions, including of long-range missiles and Patriot interceptors.
Between 1,500 and 2,000 officers and officials work for the Joint Staff, which coordinates operations, policy and war plans with combatant commanders around the world.
Mass polygraph tests have never been administered to the top ranks of the U.S. military in modern history.
It is not clear whether any leakers were outed, or whether the tactic was intended to intimidate others from doing so in the future, as Trump has labeled those critical of the disastrous Iran war as “treasonous.”
