An all-day Make America Healthy Again summit in Washington on Tuesday will feature a cast of MAGAts set to discuss MAHA’S “accomplishments, its regulatory reform agenda and its priorities for the year ahead,” according to the organizers.
Comedian and accused rapist Russell Brand is set to moderate a discussion about reforms to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), with Trump cabinet member and administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Brand has pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape, three charges of sexual assault and one allegation of indecent assault — all in connection with allegations made by six women about incidents that took place between 1999 and 2009. Brand is expected to be going to trial in London next month, which is estimated to last for two months.
Former heavyweight boxing champion and convicted rapist Mike Tyson is taking part in a MAHA discussion on “The MAHA Athlete.”
Tyson took part in a MAHA Super Bowl commercial in February, speaking on his sister’s death from obesity and his own struggles with it. Tyson decried processed foods and munched on an apple.
- Others participating in the summit will include cabinet members Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, executives of health care companies, and trade groups with business before HHS.
- Mrs. Kennedy, Cheryl Hines, is scheduled to make “a special announcement.”
- Tony Lyons, the Kennedy ally and summit organizer, offered speaking slots to companies and organizations willing to cough up tens of thousands of dollars, and were invited to attend a private dinner with MAHA and HHS officials.
- Scott Morris, a senior vice president at Walmart, will speak about “real food at scale,” as Walmart is one of the event sponsors.
- Finn Kennedy, son of Brainworm Secretary, is also scheduled to speak.
- The summit will include panels with representatives of big health insurance companies, psychedelic drugs and wearable manufacturers, among others. Kennedy said last year he wanted all Americans using a wearable within four years to better track their health metrics.
- Robert Kennedy Jr. and JD Vance will close out the event with a fireside chat.
The MAHA summit hopes to highlight the power of the MAHA movement before the midterms, hoping to prop up Kennedy’s agenda to improve food quality and reduce vaccine recommendations.
