Superhuman President Donald Trump secretly swapped airplanes while leaving a NATO summit in Turkey last month after an Iranian threat, hiding in a food cart to be covertly transferred to an alternate ride.
*(There is no mention of the use of a bucket of KFC used as a lure to get him off the luxury Qatari jet he arrived in, but here we are…)
- Trump boarded the luxury Air Force One in front of the cameras, then exited through the other side of the plane, getting into a catering truck elevated to the plane’s level on the other side. The food truck then took him to a modified Boeing 757 typically used by JD Maybelline.
- Reporters and some White House staff boarded and stayed on the Qatari-gifted jet, and are instructed to pull the window shades, and took off as a decoy, some without knowing the president was no longer on board.
- Trump then flew to Britain and was transferred back onto the luxury Qatari Air Force One, and was shown by cameras back home exiting the AF1.
Asked why reporters had been told to lower the window shades on the plane from Turkey, Trump said: “Because you’re probably on a dangerous flight because of the sleazebags we have to deal with. But if I go, you go, right?”, he said, adding: “Perhaps someday you want to change professions.”
The US has spent months retrofitting the $400m Boeing 747-8 to prepare it for the president. Older Air Force One planes have laser technology to blind incoming missiles. It is unclear what systems the Qatari jet has.
“The new Air Force One is perfectly safe for the President’s travels, but will receive additional upgrades and enhancements in the fall which will take approximately one month to complete,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
