In the wee hours of the morning and without any fanfare, the US Senate voted 50-49 to confirm Todd Blanche, who will go down in history as the most corrupt and compromised Attorney General in modern times. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted with every Democratic member, including John Fetterman, to deny his confirmation.
On the positive side, the Senate did not even entertain Trump’s Destroy America Act. Instead, they broke for recess.
