On Tuesday, the two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers voted against certifying the county’s November election results for the county’s 43 jurisdictions, including Detroit, Michigan’s largest voting jurisdiction.
Tuesday was the final day the board could certify the county’s election results. Having failed its responsibility to certify the results, the board is now required to immediately deliver to the secretary of the Board of State Canvassers all election records so the state board can certify the results. Under state law, the board must certify the results within 10 days of receiving the records from the board of canvassers.
Oh, and the Michigan GOP is also working on trying to impeach Governor Whitmer.
