During Thursday’s edition of Pod Save America, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Joe Biden’s January comments about Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy in which the president called him a “stupid son of a bitch for asking a question about inflation.
She was asked if Peter Doocy really is a “stupid son of a bitch, or just plays one on tv.”
Psaki answered “He works for a network that provides people with questions that, nothing personal to any individual including Peter Doocy, but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a bitch,” she said.
She went on to laud Doocy’s grace for how he handled the incident during an appearance on Hannity later that night, showing that while Psaki and Doocy may appear to many to be political rivals, they share notable mutual respect for one another.
Psaki, who is expected to leave the Biden administration and take a new on-air position at MSNBC in the coming weeks, also commended Doocy for not slamming the president during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity after Biden apologized to the White House reporter for his comments.
“You don’t have to like everything Peter Doocy says or does, but that is certainly a moment of grace by Peter Doocy,” she said to applause.
Seems innocent and accurate, but her answer really bunched some righties’ panties:
