So, Disqus has some glitches, shocking! New discussions do not show on your Disqus feed; you don’t see who has upvoted you, etc. None of this has anything to do with your ability to comment or read our threads DIRECTLY, which we prefer, from our homepage. Eventually, Disqus will address their issues but don’t be surprised if they break something else in the process; it usually happens that way.
But, my point is: Go to our homepage; bookmark it. Damn, we’ve been around now for three years and you are truly doing yourself a disservice by not visiting it. Our IT Guru, Forkless, did a mighty fine job designing it; making it very user friendly, and not filled with a ton of glitches to piss you off. I highly suggest trying it.
Now, onto other issues. Pour yourself a beverage of your choice, maybe grab a few snacks, and enjoy one another’s company!

I really wanted to see my son’s new band play tonight on one of our rivers, but HELL NO! I don’t do 102 degrees. I caught a set early this morning at an event sponsored by our public libraries-Summer Reading series. Books aren’t banned in CA; we encourage them!
