The Senate Judiciary Committee announced that it will be issuing subpoenas for Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo to testify under oath about possible corruption in the Supreme Court.
Crow is at the center of the reports by ProPublica which revealed that Justice Clarence Thomas accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars of gifts from him and other wealthy people, some of whom had ties to cases before the Court.
Leonard Leo is the controversial Federalist Society leader who is widely regarded as the gatekeeper for the appointment of federal judges and justices during Republican presidencies.
