Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. posted a video to social media in which he describes dumping a dead bear cub’s body in Central Park a decade ago.
Apparently Kennedy witnessed a bear cub struck and killed by a vehicle outside of New York City while on a falconing expedition. Kennedy put the carcass in his van in order to skin the bear, and freeze the meat. After a series of delays and a plan of going to the airport, he abandons the cub in Central Park to make it appear that an old bicycle struck and killed the bear.
He said he was nervous that the bear would be linked to him after the news was on “every television station.”
In the video Kennedy tells the story to Roseanne Barr, which lines up with media coverage of a similar incident in 2014. Kennedy claims the New Yorker magazine recently found the story, which hasn’t been published yet.
