Sunday Service, Mother’s Day Special
Calling it the “4:01 Challenge,” Texas megachurch Pastor Robert Jeffress wants people to pray at 4:01 p.m. every day for the next 40 days, starting on Thursday, which also happens to be the 69th annual National Day of Prayer.
“The most powerful thing you and I can do to bring an end to the coronavirus pandemic — and its devastating effects — is to ask for God’s miraculous intervention in our country,” Jeffress wrote on his website.
The preacher says he got the idea from his daughter, who asked him why “more Christians aren’t praying against the coronavirus.”
Please clear your calendars for several weeks to “pray the coronavirus away” at 4:01.
Jeffress’ megachurch will re-open May 31.
Sunday May 31 should be safe to re-open. Pastor Pence said “that he thinks the coronavirus pandemic could “largely” be “behind us” by Memorial Day Weekend.” Memorial Day weekend will be May 23-25.
On a sad note, I am sorry to report that televangelist Jim Bakker may have suffered a stroke and will be taking a “sabbatical” from his TV show. Please join the crew here at LE††UCE PREY® in sending Thoughts & Prayers to Pastor Jim for a speedy recovery!
His wife Lori Bakker said that her husband’s break from work comes at the advice of medical professionals and his board of directors.
“Jim will be back! He is still dreaming and hearing from the Lord, and he already has a powerful word to deliver when he returns to the air,” the post continued.
