In the aftermath of the recent mass shootings, Walmart has decided to stop selling some types ammunition and will no longer allow its customers to pack heat in their stores, including Sam’s Club. The retail chain says it will also ask the Trump administration and Congress to ‘Do Something!’ mainly pass background checks.
The types of ammunition Walmart will discontinue includes hand gun bullets, since the retail chain no longer sells hand guns and ammo for military-style weapons.
“We just hope that customers will understand the rationale behind this, that it is not an attempt to question their legal rights,” Bartlett said. “It’s certainly just about the experience we’ve had in our own stores that have put too many customers, too many associates in a place of extreme discomfort …. We’ve had multiple cases of evacuations because of this.”
