Joe Biden confirms he will not testify in Trump’s impeachment trial

In an interview with the Des Moines Register, Joe Biden confirmed again that he will not “comply with a subpoena to testify in a Senate trial of Trump.”

Testifying before the Senate on the matter would take attention away from Trump and the allegations against him, Biden said. Not even “that thug” Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney and former New York City mayor, has accused Biden of doing anything but his job, the former vice president said. Biden also said any attempt to subpoena him would be on “specious” grounds, and he predicted it wouldn’t come to that.

“No one’s taken as much heat and as many lies thrown at them as I have, but again, this is not about me. It’s not about my family. It’s about the nation. And we have to reach out and unify this country.”

Who will be Trump' running mate?
