Rather than answer a question about the pending impeachment trial of President Trump, Republican Sen. Martha McSally repeatedly on Thursday called a CNN reporter a “liberal hack” — an exchange that a McSally staffer taped and Trump’s campaign later praised and promoted.
“Sen. McSally, should the Senate consider new evidence as part of the impeachment trial?” Raju asked.
Said McSally, “Manu, you’re a liberal hack. I’m not talking to you.”
“You’re not going to comment, senator, about this?” Raju replied.
“You’re a liberal hack,” McSally said again before walking into an anteroom.

“It is extremely unbecoming for a U.S. senator to sink to this level and treat a member of the press this way for simply doing his job.”

Of course, the Trump campaign praised the Senator for her DEPLORABLE behavior:
And, Senator McSally who lost her bid for the Senate but was appointed by the governor of AZ, has now started fundraising off her 15 seconds of deplorable fame.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m not in the Senate to play politics, especially with liberal hacks who profit off of spin,” McSally wrote in the email.
“I’m in the Senate to fight for all Arizonans, not play games with the left-wing media,” she added.
