Welcome to cocktail hour with your News Views friends, where any Friday is Good, but today it’s offically “Good Friday!” Let’s celebrate what was actually good about this week, no matter how long it takes us to find the silver linings. It’s actually kind of nice to come as you are, plop down on the couch (again?!), and be happy we made it through another week!
The Trump Show is over early today, so you can pull up a barstool and put in your quarter, or your two cents. It’s been another week that was, but it’s offically a holiday weekend. That means it’s time to relax before you try to pull off some semblance of a holiday with your family, yourself, or your housemates while socially distancing.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t raid the Easter candy aisles, just make sure you disinfect the packaging of your Peeps and Robin Eggs, Reese’s, and Jelly Bellies before your sugar high begins. I’ve heard chocolate goes with everything, including beer, wine, and whatever other concoctions you can come up with in your quarantine cocktail pantry.
I’m not sure what you listen to on Easter weekend, but I’ve been looking for some Easter-y songs to play, and coming up a little confused on the bunny and candy theme. Surely someone can do better than this! Good luck to you!
