Florida’s Matt Gaetz went on Tucker Carlson Thursday night to reveal that he has a 19-year old son he adopted from Cuba, after arguing with Cedric Richmond (D-LA) that white people in congress could understand what it’s like to be African-American.
Gaetz says he met the young boy he now calls his son six years ago when he was dating the boy’s older sister. Nestor Galban had arrived from Cuba — legally, of course! — where his mother had recently died of breast cancer.
The three of them lived together as a “modern family,” except for a brief period during Nestor’s junior year when Gaetz and Nestor’s sister broke up.
