A couple near Cleveland in Brook Park, Ohio, stopped at a Little Ceasar’s for a “Hot and Ready” pizza, but found a surprise when they opened the box at home. The pepperoni had been arranged in the form of a backward swastika.
The couple didn’t eat the pizza, but saved it for proof. They called the business, but it had just closed minutes before.
They later received a call from the local owner as well as the corporate office and were told the pizza was supposed to be a joke between employees and was not intended to be sold to the public. The responsible employees have been fired.
“We have zero tolerance for racism and discrimination in any form, and these franchise store employees were immediately terminated. We’re deeply disappointed that this happened, as this conduct is completely against our values. We have also reached out to the customer to discuss this personally with him.”
There was no discussion about the crappy quality of the pizza franchise.
