NFL 2020 Season Opener

Houston Texans at Champion K.C. Chiefs, 8:20 ET  kick-off on NBC, KC is a 9 point favorite. 

The last time these two teams played each other was in a AFC divisional game played January 12. 

Everything went the Texans’ way early in the game, leading 24-0 in the second quarter. 

After that, the Texans only scored one more time, while K.C. scored 51 points. The Texans looked out-classed at every position and in every facet of the game.

The following week KC beat the Titans in the AFC championship game, then two weeks later beat the 49ers by 11 in the Super Bowl.

In other NFL news:

After catching COVID-19 earlier this year, DE Von Miller-Denver is having surgery on an ankle tendon, and may miss the entire season.

Overall 2018, 10th draft pick QB Josh Rosen, was cut by the Dolphins and signed by Tampa Bay to their practice squad. 

Mean-while, also out of Miami, the Dolphin’s top pick in this year’s draft, QB, Tua Tagovailoa,  will start the season on the bench, 37 year old Ryan Fitzpatrick will start.

DE Jadeveon Clowney was signed by the Titans.

The Washington team released RB Adrian Peterson, who then signed with the Lions.

RB Leonard Fournette was cut by the Jags and signed with Tampa Bay, who’s are now led by QB Tom Brady.

In some good news, ESPN is replacing Hank William Jr.’s MNF Theme song with Little Richard’s “Rip it Up”
