The saying goes “behind every successful man stands a strong woman,” a tribute to the silent support, encouragement and guidance.
It’s the spirit of this “truth” that has critics questioning whether Justice Thomas’s true motivation for dissent of the GOP election challenges was due to his wife.
Thomas wrote in his dissent;
“These cases provide us with an ideal opportunity to address just what authority nonlegislative officials have to set election rules, and to do so well before the next election cycle. The refusal to do so is inexplicable.”

His complete statement appears to echo some of the complaints by lawyers for Trump about the authority of states to set election rules.
On January 18, Ginni Thomas issued an apology to the her husband’s clerks for her Facebook posts she made on January 6 supporting the capitol rioters presumed to have been before it turned violent.
“I owe you all an apology. I have likely imposed on you my lifetime passions,” Thomas wrote the staff in emails obtained by The Washington Post. “My passions and beliefs are likely shared with the bulk of you, but certainly not all. And sometimes the smallest matters can divide loved ones for too long.
