Former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster on Sunday pushed back on the Republican National Committee who called January 6 “legitimate political discourse.”
McMaster also backed up former Vice President Mike Pence, saying he was correct to push back against Trump’s claims that Pence could have overturned election results.
More Republicans are making statements against the RNC’s censure of Kinzinger and Cheney, and in support of the January 6 Committee’s investigation. They include former RNC chairman Michael Steele, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Texas Rep Michael McCaul, Mitt Romney, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, and Sen. Bill Cassidy.
