We will continue to combine both blogs, In Case You Missed It and the Russia-Ukraine Conflict. Please feel free to share any headlines we may have missed or new developments occurring in Ukraine or Russia providing they come from reliable and credible sources. We won’t accept any parroted, Russian propaganda from far-right ‘news’ sources unless you’re trying to point out that the far-right extremist in our country and elsewhere actually believe their own BS or Russian disinformation. We also ask that you provide a link to your source so folks can read it if they want.
Keep in mind, this is not a free chat. Please keep friendly banter to a minimum. We also ask that you discuss the day’s topics or events but not argue endlessly with others about them; agree to disagree and move on thank you.

Feds Beginning to Ramp up Legal Proceedings Against COVID Fraudsters
s the pandemic passes the two-year mark, a new wave of federal cases against alleged COVID-19 scammers is being seen across the country, with some totaling over $1 million.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is continuing to pile up indictments across the country as additional fraud cases are uncovered. The effort is part of the DOJ’s initiative to combat coronavirus fraud, and last Thursday, the DOJ announced that it had uncovered over $8 billion in fraud schemes since the pandemic began.
The DOJ’s efforts are ramping up as more federal executives are beginning to take notice of the massive amounts of COVID-19 fraud. This includes those at the White House, where President Joe Biden pledged in his State of the Union speech to “go after the criminals who stole billions of relief money meant for small business and millions of Americans.”

Fauci says COVID-19 cases will likely increase soon, though not necessarily hospitalizations
Over the next few weeks, the U.S. should expect an increase in cases from the BA.2 variant, Dr. Anthony Fauci told ABC News, but it may not lead to as severe a surge in hospitalizations or deaths.
“I would not be surprised if in the next few weeks we see somewhat of either a flattening of our diminution or maybe even an increase,” Fauci told ABC News’ Brad Mielke on the podcast “Start Here.”
