After Ron DeSantis signed into law the Don’t Say Gay bill on Monday, the Walt Disney Company wrote in a statement that its “goal” was to get the law repealed or defeated in the courts.
That makes Disney World even more “woke” and the enemy of the DeSantis.
DeSantis on Thursday threatened to strip the Mouse and Disney of its 55-year-old special status that allows the company to operate as an independent government in Orlando.
“Disney has alienated a lot of people now,” DeSantis said at a West Palm Beach press conference. “And so the political influence they’re used to wielding, I think has dissipated. And so the question is, why would you want to have special privileges in the law at all? And I don’t think that that we should.”
Likely adding fuel to DeSantis’s incendiary threats was a federal judge’s smackdown of parts of Florida’s new voter suppression bill.
DeSantis was on his pulpit fighting for his flock.
Meanwhile, Fox News and some Lynyrd Skynyrd dude sang praises of the king of Florida.
