Goooood evening, News Viewers and welcome to Saturday night. I hope everyone is staying safe and doing well. So much is going on in our world, the January 6 Hearings, uncovering a plot to overthrow the 2020 election and our democracy, the Extreme Court bullshit rulings, gun violence, and so much more. So, I thought we all could use a break from it and have some fun.
You know how we did music last week? I thought it was fun and deserving of a repeat but with a different twist. This week, I’m going to ask you to post music from bands, vocalists, whatever from either the town, city, general area, or state you live in or once lived in. Yes, that was a mouthful, sorry.
When I was a small child, we lived in the East Bay (CA) and some great music came out of there. So, I will start and hope you will jump right in and treat us to some tunes from your neck of the woods.
Still one of my favorite bands of all time that I’ve seen a zillion times:
ToP from Oakland, CA. So Very Hard to Go:
Sheila E: never one of my favorites but another talented (percussion) musician out of Oakland, CA
Not really into the band because they are not my style of music. But, I grew up with the guitarist; he lived a few blocks away from my parents’ old house. He was older than I am but was one of my buddies and funny AF….great sense of humor. I used to get him to help me with my math because I so suck at McMath.
Ok—your turn.
