And what a Friday it is.…. I started the day with a feeling of weightiness; last night, watching the January 6 hearings, I knew it was only one step in many but still a possible bullet dodged. Maybe Democracy is saved? Those who brought to us the facts about January 6 did so at great personal cost, so maybe we’re returning to the sense of character and values we’ve been watching disappear.
We don’t know. we’ve got a vote to get through, a policy platform to strengthen, a country to heal and a GOP to dissolve and replace. We may just be aby le to save our Democracy; or we may end up in The Handmaid’s Tale. A tall order for this October Friday, right? So what do we do? We keep storming the beach heads, we go all in.
