DeSantis Breaks His Silence on Possible Trump Indictment

Gov. Ron DeSantis weighed in for the first time on Donald Trump’s woes at a news conference Monday morning, without once mentioning the ex-president’s name.

Instead DeSantis belittled the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg as a Soros-funded prosecutor, and threw shade on the hush-money for a porn star investigation, calling it a “manufactured circus.” DeSantis also indicated he has no plans to help Trump fight extradition to New York should he face charges, noting his office would not be involved in the case “in any way.”

“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair, I just, I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis said, to laughter in the background. Then, referring to the prosecutor again, he added, “That’s an example of pursuing a political agenda.”

DeSantis is staying focused on what he called “real issues I got to deal with here in the state of Florida.”

And then MAGA-world reacted.
