The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals Blocks House Judiciary Committee’s Subpoena to Depose Mark Pomerantz

Jim Jordan’s 🤡CloWn HoUSe🤡 had a hearing scheduled today, which would have featured testimony from former Manhattan prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz, who was involved in a criminal investigation of ex-President Donald Trump. Gym subpoenaed Pomerantz’ testimony but DA Alvin Bragg sued the Judiciary Committee to block it. Of course, Gym found some underqualified, TFG appointed judge, Mary Kay Vyskocil who denied DA Bragg’s denied Bragg’s effort to invalidate the subpoena for Pomerantz.

“The subpoena was issued with a ‘valid legislative purpose’ in connection with the ‘broad’ and ‘indispensable’ congressional power to ‘conduct investigations,’” Vyskocil wrote in federal court in Manhattan.
“Mr. Pomerantz must appear for the congressional deposition. No one is above the law,” the judge wrote.
(Irony much, Judge?)

On Thursday , the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in New York blocked the House Judiciary Committee’s subpoena in order to give a three-judge panel time to consider whether to continue to block the subpoena for longer pending the appeal.

The circuit court gave Jordan’s committee until Friday at 3 p.m. ET to reply.

Who will be Trump' running mate?
