Judge Orders Trump to Be Lectured on How to Shut Up About Evidence Disclosure

Judge Juan Manuel Merchan ordered Trump to attend a video lecture on May 23 regarding his criminal case in Manhattan. The intent is to instruct TFG on the rules that barred him from using the evidence in the case to attack witnesses.

Merchan agreed to a hybrid meeting with Trump on video and his lawyers in the courtroom, when they will go over the restrictions with Trump and to make clear that he risks being held in contempt if he violates them.

Merchan scheduled the meeting following the CNN town hall in which TFG hurled a slew of insults and false information, including that the criminal charges against him were fake.

Trump was arrested on April 4 and charged with 34 felony counts for falsifying New York business records through a “catch and kill” scheme designed to conceal hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and other damaging information before the 2016 election.
