Physical Altercation Erupts in Capitol Between Kevin McCarthy and GOP Lawmaker
The GOP lawmaker called McCarthy’s move “a sucker punch”
According to NPR Congressional correspondent Claudia Grisales who was interviewing Tim Burchett, Kevin McCarthy walked by and “shoved” Burchett in the back causing Burchett to lunge toward her. Grisales reported that she has “never seen this on Capitol Hill” and at first thought it was a joke, but then “a chase ensued.”
