Corey Lewandowski: He’s Back to Let Trump Be Trump

It’s been eight years since Corey Lewandowski was fired as Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign manager, but he’s back, along with his mantra of “Let Trump Be Trump.”

Lewandowski and several new aides are joining the 2024 campaign, although Trump says he doesn’t need to restyle his strategy. Also climbing on board The Titanic the campaign are Tim Murtaugh, the communications director from Trump’s 2020 campaign, and three former officials from a pro-Trump super PAC: Alex Pfeiffer, Alex Bruesewitz and Taylor Budowich.

Trump complains that the Democrats’ candidate switcheroo was unfair, and had apparently called allies asking if he should replace anyone on his team.

Some of those from the 2016 campaign have complained about the co-managers of the 2024 team, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, accusing them of restricting access to TFG from certain loyalists, including those who contributed to the Project 2025 manifesto.

Trump stands by Wiles and LaCivita, but says many of THE BEST people (nobody’s seen as many people) are enthusiastic to come back into the Trump campaign fold.

“As we head into the home stretch of this election, we are continuing to add to our impressive campaign team,” Trump co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita said in a statement.

Let’s look back at Corey Lewandowski’s history of impulsive creepiness.

Corey was accused of assaulting a reporter at a campaign event in Florida, which led to his firing.

Corey said “womp-womp” regarding an immigrant child with Down syndrome who was caged.

Corey was also removed from a super PAC in 2021 when a donor, Trashelle Odom, said in a statement that Lewandowski “repeatedly touched me inappropriately, said vile and disgusting things to me, stalked me, and made me feel violated and fearful.” A lawyer for Odom alleged that Lewandowski also threw a drink at Odom.
