TFG to Dr. Phil: I Would Win California if Jesus Was the Vote Counter

and other delusional nonsense

In a purportedly bigly interview on a streaming service with former psychologist and television personality Dr. Phil, Trump claimed he would win elections in California if Jesus was the one counting the votes.

  • For a dude who is obsessed with crowd sizes, TFG played to an audience of one with a Tuesday night sit-down with Phil McGraw, once a mainstream celebrity, who appears to be trying to revive his relevance as a MAGA influencer.
  • Billed as a blockbuster interview, Dr. Phil (a therapist who relinquished his license to practice nearly two decades ago), promised to ask tough questions and get clear answers.

Turns out, it wasn’t really an interview, as Dr. Phil started by asking Trump how he had survived the assassination attempt. Then the ranting ensued.

Trump began by suggesting his ranting at a rally about immigration caused him to turn his head, and therefore was anointed by God for the presidency.

  • “The only thing I can think is that God loves our country, and he thinks we’re going to bring our country back. He wants to bring it back,” Trump said.
  • TFG said if he were to win the 2024 election, it would be evidence that the Almighty wants “to be involved in saving — and maybe it’s more than saving the nation — maybe it’s saving the world.”

Indeed, TFG seemed to think that by some miracle he could win the state of California, if Jesus would take the wheel.
