The guy running for President and hoping for votes from Detroiters insulted the City of Detroit, telling the Detroit Economic Club that the country would turn out (not good) like Detroit if Kamala Harris was elected.
If elected, Trump would also have the nuclear codes, and said he wants to be a dictator on day one.
Comparing Michigan’s largest city in a must-win battleground state to “a developing nation,” Trump said he wants the “triumph of the American auto industry” to be among his “greatest legacies,” and promised a “rebirth” of Detroit if he’s elected after laying out how he plans to bolster the US auto industry and manufacturing, including a proposal to make interest paid on car loans fully tax deductible.
Detroiters and Democrats let Trump know what they thought of his remarks.
Trump has been endorsed by former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, whose 28-year public corruption prison sentence he commuted in January 2021 before leaving office.
Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes said Trump “always has something nasty to say about places where you find a lot of hard-working Black folks. But whatever Donald thinks, we’re proud to be a city that bounces back, no matter what gets thrown at us. And we’ll be proud to be the place that shows this guy the door,” she said.
Also, Dementia Donnie went on about rocket ships, moon landings, cylinders without wings, and Biden circles.
Watch below as Trump spirals into a nonsensical rant about …. something, or nothing. Who knows?
