Bret Baier dropped the guise of the serious news reporter at Fox and appeared to be auditioning for a spot on the Trump communications team during a contentious interview with VP Kamala Harris on Wednesday.
Out of the gate, Baier asked Harris how many immigrants had crossed the southern border during the Biden/Harris administration, and after repeatedly talking over Harris, went on to ask if she owed an apology to the families of young women who allegedly had been killed by men who had entered the country illegally.
Baier spent the first ten minutes with gotcha questions on immigration, albeit without calling Harris a “border czar.”
Harris also had some strong moments pointing out a stronger economic plan that is backed by top economists.
Baier also tries to get Harris to say Trump voters are stupid (which they are, but she is not).
Baier represents his network to his fullest, playing a clip of Trump talking to the ladies at Fox earlier where he described “the enemy within” as political opponents. Harris corrects him sharply to point out Trump denigrates the citizens of America as enemies.
VP Kamala Harris did not walk out of the interview, nor did she whine about the interviewer being unfair, or nasty. She interviewed with a hostile network because she would be a President for all, not just for those who are loyal to her.
