Trump Triples Down on “Enemies Within,” Naming Pelosi and Schiff

On Fox News Sunday Trump reiterated the dangerous rhetoric about who exactly is “the enemy within” on Sunday for at least the third time in a week, naming Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi specifically.

“I want to drill down this question of retribution, because against your political opponents, because you’ve had opportunities to walk that back,” host Howard Kurtz said to Trump. “And my question is this, are you prepared to say now that you will not use law enforcement to punish or prosecute your political opponents?”

“Excuse me, that’s what they’re using on me,” Trump replied.

When Kurtz asked Trump if he was willing to use the same tactics, TFG said it would be “a bad thing for the country. I don’t want to do that.”

Kurtz still tried to nail down who he was talking about.

“These are bad people. We have a lot of bad people,” Trump said. “But when you look at ‘Shifty Schiff’ and some of the others, yeah, they are to me, the enemy from within. I think Nancy Pelosi is an enemy from within.”

On October 13, Trump told Fox News interviewer Maria Bartiroma that his foes could be handled by the National Guard or “very easily by the military” on Election Day.

On October 16 at a Fox News town hall, he told the audience that Democrats were “dangerous” and “evil.”
