
To achieve his mass deportation goals his racist base drools over, The Fascist Felon invoked The Alien Enemies Act of 1798, “a wartime authority that allows the president to detain or deport the natives and citizens of an enemy nation. ” It’s only the fourth time in American history a president has used the act — and the first since World War II.
The Fascist Felon’s order targeted “members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan prison gang, and authorizes expedited removal of all Venezuelan citizens 14 and older, deemed to be members of the organization, who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.”

But as quickly as the wannabe DICKtator, Fascist Felon invoked the Act, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, an Obama-era appointee, issued an order “stopping the administration from using it to deport anyone, adding that the administration should turn planes already in the air around.”
“Any plane containing these folks that is going to take off, or is in the air, needs to be returned to the United States,” the judge said. “Those people need to be returned to the United States.”

The American Civil Liberties Union and Democracy Forward brought forth the lawsuit, which resulted in Boasberg blocking the administration from deporting five Venezuelan men for 14 days. Another hearing on the matter will take place Friday.
The last time the act was invoked was WWII, during which 31,000 suspected enemy aliens of mostly Japanese, Italian and German descent were placed in internment camps and military facilities. The law requires war to be formally declared — which only Congress has the authority to do.
The judge’s ruling does not apply to individuals who have already been ordered to leave the country for reasons separate from Trump’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act, nor does it include individuals who have already landed and disembarked in a foreign country. The judge said once those individuals are off the plane and on the ground in a foreign country, they are no longer in the court’s jurisdiction.
“Today was a horrific day in the history of the nation, when the President publicized that he was seeking to invoke extraordinary wartime powers in the absence of a war or invasion and claiming virtually unlimited authority to remove people from the country,” Skye Perryman, the president of Democracy Forward, said in a statement. “But, tonight the rule of law prevailed. The government has been forced to turn planes around and our lawsuit — filed in the very early hours this morning — has resulted in broad relief.”
DoJ has appealed Judge Boasberg’s ruling.
