Elon Musk Tries to Buy a WI Supreme Court Seat; Gives Away $1M to Voter in Green Bay

Just like how he bribed offered $1 million sweepstakes payments to registered pro-Donald Trump voters in seven swing states — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — who signed a petition, Elmo announced on his shithole X that “Scott A.” from Green Bay had won $1M for signing his “Petition In Opposition To Activist Judges.”

When the Department of Justice was not The Fascist Felon’s personal law firm, it warned Elmo in October warned him that the actions might be illegal and Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a Democrat, also sued to try to block the contest in Pennsylvania.

Elmo’s PAC has spent about $20 million backing conservative Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel in Tuesday’s election, when Schimel will go head-to-head against liberal Dane County Judge Susan Crawford.

So, what’s the big deal about a state Supreme Court Justice seat?

A legal battle over Tesla sales in Wisconsin is the quiet backdrop to a big State Supreme Court race.

Wisconsin law prohibits vehicle manufacturers from selling cars directly to customers there, the way Tesla usually does. Instead, companies need to work through local franchisees — think Hank’s Ford or Jimmy’s Subaru, that sort of thing.

This means that, in Wisconsin, you can’t actually stroll into a dealership and leave with a Tesla. You can look at one — the company has showrooms in Madison and Milwaukee — but if you want one, you’ll generally have to buy it online and pick it up somewhere like Lake Elmo or Northern Illinois, or have it delivered.

Tesla sued Wisconsin over this law in January. Now, Tesla’s owner, Elon Musk, is spending big money on the state’s Supreme Court race.
