President Obama urges America to reject language normalizes racist sentiments

Without naming Trump directly, President Obama urged Americans to:

“…reject language coming out of the mouths of any of leaders that feeds a climate of fear and hate or normalizes racist sentiments…”

President Obama penned these remarks following the recent mass shootings that occurred over the weekend. He emphasized that hateful rhetoric is not new but “…it’s been at the root of most human tragedy throughout history…”

Once again, President Obama stressed enacting stricter gun control measures.

“We are not helpless here, And until all of us stand up and insist on holding public officials accountable for changing our gun laws, these tragedies will keep happening.”

Who will be Trump' running mate?
