A man in NY yesterday approached CNN's Chris Cuomo and called him "Fredo"
Cuomo: "You're going to have a problem"
Man: "What are you going to do about it?"
Cuomo: "I'll fuckin ruin your shit. I'll fucking throw you down these stairs"

CNN’s anchor Chris Cuomo got into a verbal altercation with a man over calling him, “Fredo.” Fredo was the oldest son in The Godfather who was not extremely bright and who betrayed his family.
Cuomo compared calling an Italian-American person, Fredo, similarly to using the “N word.” As an Italian-American, I don’t necessarily agree.
There are worse ethnic slurs people have used to disparage Italian-Americans that are far more offensive. I won’t repeat them but they are banned on this forum just like other ethnic and racial slurs used to disparage other ethnicities and races.
But more importantly, Fredo does not compare with using the N word at all. There really is no comparison.
Did @ChrisCuomo just say that “Fredo” is to Italians what the N word is to black people? Th N word is a dehumanizing word used against blacks who endured years of oppression. Fredo is a term from The Godfather, referring to the dumb brother. Equivocating the two is pure racism.

Katrina Pierson, a Tea Party and Trump supporter, capitalized off Cuomo’s comparison.
It’s unclear where the altercation occurred but the video shows a very angry Chris Cuomo threatening to “fuckinging throw you down these stairs like a fucking punk.”
CNN stands by Chris Cuomo and will not impose any disciplinary actions at this time.
Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.

In fact, Cuomo received support from an unlikely source, Sean Hannity.
I say good for @ChrisCuomo
He’s out with his 9 year old daughter, and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family.
Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology. https://t.co/VnyMNgz14U

Of course, the Racist in Chief weighed in and referred to Cuomo as……Fredo.
I thought Chris was Fredo also. The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN https://t.co/yBpGjt4N1T
