LETTUCE PREY: Oklahoma man says ‘Church mob held me down to pray the gay away!’

In today’s LETTUCE PREY® we have Sean Cormie, a 23 year old Oklahoma man who recently came out as gay.

At the request of his family, Sean and his partner Gary Garner, agreed to attend services at First Assembly of God Church in Blackwell to make Sean’s mother “proud”.

Sean Cormie alleges that after the service, congregants surrounded Gary and him as Preacher, Bill McKissick, preached about the evils of homosexuality.

The prayer got louder and louder until the two men felt so humiliated, they got up to leave. But Gardner was shuffled out of the building alone.

“They hold me down, pin me down, and I’m crying, and the Holy Spirit just comes through me, and they keep speaking in tongues, praying over me,” Mr Cormie told KFOR-TV. “I was just crying, ‘mercy, mercy’.”

Cormie says afterwards, he went to the Blackwell Police Department to file a report.
