NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio drops out of the race

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced he will drop out of the race.

“Getting out there, being able to hear people’s concerns, address them with new ideas, has been an extraordinary experience,” he said. “But I have to tell you, at the same time, I feel like I’ve contributed all I can to this primary election, and it’s clearly not my time. So I’m going to end my presidential campaign, continue my work as mayor of New York City, and I’m going to keep speaking up for working people.”

Mayor de Blasio has an article found here that explains why he dropped out of the race and how he will “keep fighting for working people — and ensuring that New York City remains the vanguard of progressivism.”

Of course, the very presidential president offered nothing of worth.
