Watch live: Lawmakers to honor Cummings at Capitol memorial service

The late Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) will lie in state in the U.S. Capitol’s Sanctuary Hall on Thursday.

The longtime Maryland lawmaker died last week from “complications concerning longstanding health challenges.”

The chairman of the powerful House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will be honored with a memorial service for lawmakers, family and honored guests in the Capitol.

A memorial ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. following a casket arrival ceremony.

A public viewing is set for after the service.
