NFL: Drew Brees’ Fabulous Night Out

Drew Brees sets NFL’s all-time record for career passing touchdowns with 541. He broke Payton Mannings record of 539, Tom Brady has 538.

If that wasn’t enough for one night, Brees set another all-time NFL record by completing 29 of 30 passes, surpassing Philip Rivers’ record of 28 completions in 29 attempts by a few percentage points. Rivers set the record just over a year ago.

Drew Bree’ favorite receiver, Michael Thomas caught 12 passes, giving him 133 for the season. He is projected to catch 149 balls at the rate he is going. That would break Marvin Harrison’s NFL record of 143 receptions set in 2002 while at Indianapolis. His QB was who else but Payton Manning.

The Saints beat the Colts 34-7.

The Saints, Packers, 49ers and Seahawks are all 11-3 with 2 regular season games to go.
