- Where: Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and hosted by the Des Moines Register and CNN.
- Moderators: On behalf of CNN, anchor Wolf Blitzer and political correspondent Abby Phillip will moderate, while the Des Moines Register will be represented by political correspondent Brianne Pfannenstiel.
- Participants: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer have qualified for the debate, the first debate with no minority representation.
