Barack Obama spoke out on Wednesday after Mitch McConnell suggested he was “classless” and “should have kept his mouth shut.”
The former president urged a better government response to the pandemic, a response that would actually protect Americans from the virus as well as the economic fallout.
Obama shared on Twitter a Vox report that listed 7 ideas from experts on how the Trump administration could be doing a lot more to manage the crisis, rather than complaining about the performance of others. The report highlights that the purchasing power of the federal government is better poised to manage mass purchases of masks, testing equipment, and contact tracers, among other recommendations.
