Coming to a head in the next weeks is the battle over the U.S. Postal Service between a new Trump appointed Postmaster General and Democrats in Congress.
Trump has called the agency a joke because of the rates it charges, and has suggested delaying the election because of security concerns with the postal service.
Mark Dimondstein, president of the American Postal Workers Union, said Trump’s “charges of massive fraud are actually fraudulent themselves,’ adding that Trump is “scapegoating” union members, who represent the “entire political spectrum.”
Dimondstein wants Congress to include a grant to help the USPS through a projected revenue loss of $50 billion over the next 10 years “just due to COVID.” The House proposal includes a $25 billion grant but Republicans are not interested.
Trump, on the phone with Fox and Friends this morning, had nothing to refute Hillary’s claims, only to whine about Hillary not “accepting” the results of the election.
