Lesbian baker in Detroit got homophobic cake order; she made the cake anyway

April Anderson, a black, openly gay baker, received a disturbing order at her Detroit bakery.  An employee of a local hate group, er…conservative Catholic organization, ordered a custom cake with the following message:  “Homosexual acts are gravely evil. (Catholic Catechism 2357)”.   Anderson ultimately filled the order, which was paid by credit card, but omitted the message, in keeping with a published policy not to include any written messages on online specialty orders – possibly foreseeing just such a request.

This was an obvious attempt to troll Anderson, in response to the case of the infamously bigoted “Christian” baker, Jack Phillips, of Masterpiece Cakeshop.
