President Biden said there was no need for Trump to continue receiving intelligence briefings in an interview with CBS’s Norah O’Donnell that will air Sunday at 4:00pmET, just before the Super Bowl.
Former presidents have the opportunity to receiving briefings as a courtesy.
“Well, let me ask you then something that you do have oversight of as president,” O’Donnell said. “Should former President Trump still receive intelligence briefings?”
“I think not,” Mr. Biden responded.
Biden also addressed where he was willing to negotiate in his COVID relief and stimulus plan.
Biden said he was not willing to budge on the amount of $1,400 checks to Americans, but there was room to adjust who qualifies to receive it.
He also suggested that the $15 minimum wage increase will not make it in the American Rescue Plan, but that he sees it happening later in a standalone proposal.
