A new social media app from former Trump adviser Jason Miller was hacked on its opening day, targeting several former Trump officials including Mike Pompeo and Miller.
“The problem was detected and sealed in a matter of minutes, and all the intruder was able to accomplish was to change a few user names,” Miller said.
GETTR is described by Miller as “a non-bias social network for people all over the world.”
Available on Google and Apple app stores, Miller said the site signed up more than 500,000 new users on its launch day, July 4. GETTR looks like Twitter with a scrolling news feed and a pencil icon at the bottom to compose a message.
Miller vowed that the app “will not cancel people for their political opinions.”
