Another “Karen” has been flagged for harassing a Black neighbor over a Tigger flag in her yard.
A TikTokker named Ambrosia, a Black woman, shared a video of her neighbor, a white woman, complaining about a flag hanging at her house that featured “Tigger,” the Winnie-the-Pooh character. The Tigger flag was next to an American flag.
The woman insisted the flag was tacky, and that the neighborhood had “rules for the community” that she might have to find out about.
Ambrosia reminded Karen that they did not live under a homeowner’s association.
White women all over the country have been tagged “Karen” for racist behaviors.
Now there is new Social Security Administration data that shows the name Karen for babies has fallen from grace. In 2019, there were only 439 newborns named Karen, and in 2020 there were even less — 325. The name reached its peak in 1965 when there were 33,000 Karens born.
