“We understand that you had at least one and possibly multiple communications with President Trump on January 6th. We would like to discuss each such communication with you in detail.”
Bernie Thompson
The House subcommittee investigating the January 6 attack on our nation’s Capitol Building wants to have a little chat with Ohio, GQP Representative Jim Jordan. Along with other Republican lawmakers, Jim may have significant knowledge of events leading up to the attack.
Jim is now the second Trump ally to see receive an interview request. Representative Scott Perry of Pennsylvania has already declined the committee’s request to voluntarily sit down with investigators. Instead, Perry wants to continue fighting “the failure of the radical left. “
The committee’s letter sent to Jim and posted below also states, “… we also wish to inquire about any communications you had on January 5 or 6th with those in the Willard War Rroom, the Trump legal team, White House personnel or others involved in organizing or planning the actions and strategies for January 6.
If Jim so graciously accepts the committee’s invitation for a little sit down, the meeting should take place on either January 3, 4th, or the week of January 10 when the House returns to Washington. The committee also proposed holding the interview in Jordan‘s district if it’s more convenient for the lunatic .
Jordan’s office has not returned a request from CNN for a comment.
