Twitter announced on Sunday that Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal account was permanently suspended on the social media platform due to repeated violations of COVID-19 misinformation policy.
According to Twitter’s policy, tweets that violate the policy would include the following:
- Promoting claims as facts
- Knowingly mislead with inaccurate information when existing accurate information is available
- Having a potential to cause harm
After five violations, the account would be suspended permanently.
Greene said, in a statement Sunday through her office, that she was suspended for tweeting statistics from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.
Marge will still have access to her professional account as U.S. Representative.
